Francis P. Chiaramonte, MD, MPH, FACS, founder of Southern Maryland Hospital Center, died at his home on Sunday morning. He was 84.
Dr. Jeffrey Sabloff has been practicing medicine in Southern Maryland for over 35 years. He earned his medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed his internship and residency training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in Manhattan, NY. He has been on the medical staff at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center since it opened its doors in 1977 and served as the hospital's Chief of Orthopedics for seven years. Dr. Sabloff heads the Center for Joint Replacement, which performs hundreds of joint replacements each year.
